What’s New: Take a Tour and Pick Up Your Messages

Ever have so many choices that you just get overwhelmed and don’t even know where to begin? Yup, we know that feeling.

Maple offers you a lot of ways to work and getting started can be a little daunting. To help you get comfortable, Maple now offers a new feature: a guided tour created especially for new Maplers. If you are a new user, you get the option to take the tour the first time you log in. Of course, if you just want to poke around in there that works too. Skip the tour and begin exploring. You can always come back to it later on.

Why take a tour? It covers the basics for navigating in Maple, that way you’ll be able to move around easily. As part of the tour you will customize your nickname, so Maple can interact with you by a name you prefer. Of course, the best reason to take the tour is you get the highlights of all of the core Maple features. Which makes deciding where to begin in Maple really simple.

There is also a new Welcome feature on the Dashboard for first time Maplers. While you get used to creating Stuff in Maple it is a shortcut for adding content. If you don’t need that support, you can collapse it and the standard Add New button will be there. Handy, right?

This seemed like the perfect time to add Notifications to Maple too. When you invite someone to become a Thought Partner, share something new or get a response from a Thought Partner you’ll get an update on your Dashboard in the Messages tile. If you happen to have more than one response or share, you’ll get a summary and be able to choose which items to review. That makes managing your messages convenient and hassle free. (Psst: If you are using the Maple app, get ready there are some useful updates for notifications planned there as well. Stay tuned!)

The basics tour and the updated notifications are already available in Maple. Go ahead and check them out. Got feedback? Ideas to make your Maple experience even better? Don’t keep them to yourself, use that Contact page or just leave a Comment.

Now is the perfect time to Maple something.
