Despite my best efforts, seems things are going at warp speed again. Am I the only way one feeling that way right now?
It’s a bit of a mad rush just so I can slow down. The Maple Team and I are embracing the spirit of the holidays and taking the next few weeks to focus on important things like friends, family, inspiration and rejuvenation. But getting to a point where we can actually do that can be downright stressful!
All things considered, my pre-holiday planning worked well and I am feeling festive and not frustrated. My stress tracker is keeping me honest about that. Come to think of it so is my sleep tracker, even with the year-end craziness I’m getting my target hours of sleep. Which is all very encouraging because it means I have been able to make positive changes. Maybe not everything I thought I would do, but certainly it is progress. That feels pretty energizing too!
Have you thought about all the progress you’ve made this year? With the frenzy of the season, it may be more then you realize. Find a few quiet moments to take a little inventory and then applaud your wins, no matter how big or small. Go ahead, take a bow! (In case you were wondering, yes, I absolutely did take a bow for myself. 😊)
We’ve had a big year and it’s time for celebration and, maybe more importantly, relaxation.
While we are welcoming peace, comfort and joy into our lives we thought we’d offer you some as well. We’ll post a new inspirational quote each day for the next two weeks. For those that are journaling, these make great prompts. Spending a couple of minutes considering peace and joy can really help connect you to the spirit of the season and begin the new year on a positive note.
We’ve started looking ahead to 2018 and we’re so excited about what we have planned. You’ve been asking about all the Maple features and what else is coming – well, we can’t wait to tell you! (Maybe you’ll even get a sneak peek while we are on hiatus.) After a little rest and recharging, the journey continues!
Meantime, on behalf of everyone on the Maple team, we hope your holidays are everything you wish them to be! We’ll see you in 2018.
Cheers!!
